Griff Griffiths Brief profile:
"I work as an independent consultant supporting groups and individuals in navigating uncertainty inside organizations.
I’m especially interested in self-organizing - how do we create groups, communities, networks which can spontaneously create value, but with minimal central control? What skills does that require of us as individuals?
I was initially attracted to Human Systems Dynamics because the theory felt familiar. When I was younger I studied Environmental Sciences (BSc) and Water Resources Technology (MSc) and HSD’s core theory felt like it came from that physical world. The fact that it was a theory for social systems intrigued me. I certified in 2012 and have been using, teaching and learning more about the approach ever since. Clients appreciate its practicality and accessibility for experts and non-experts alike, which makes it useful for effecting change at multiple scales.
I’m currently the UK Lead for the Human Systems Dynamics Institute, and a Consulting Associate there. I’m also a graduate of the NTL Organisation Development programme, a trained coach and an Associate at the leadership institute Roffey Park. Before moving into organizational work, I had a long career in the IT industry.
My clients include the UK Civil Service, the National Health Service, and pharmaceutical companies.”
